20 new routes + Community Comp dates + Crush tonight

Hi everyone,

We’ve got a bunch of updates this week, so I wanted to get a quick note out.

20 new routes on the Vert Wall

Chenoa, Elliot, Sam, and I stripped and reset the entire Vert Wall yesterday — there are 20 new problems up now across a wide range of grades. If you’re looking for something new to project this week, that’s the wall to hit.

Next Monday, we’ll be resetting the South Prow.

Comp Seminar + Community Comp — Save the Dates

I’m really excited about this one. In early November, we’ll be running a Competition Seminar + Community Comp to give everyone the chance to experience what a real finals round feels like — loud music, timers, ISO, the works.

It’ll start with a clinic on competition strategy, mindset, and prep, then finish with a full competition open to all climbers. We’ll have two different clinic sessions and two competition sessions to help fit everyone’s schedules.

Registration will open in a day or two, and spots will be limited, so keep an eye out for that announcement. We’re keeping the price for both the seminar and comp together at $30, and asking for optional donations to Team Ascension to help with travel costs this season.

Community Crush — Tues & Thurs, 6–8 PM

I’ll be running Community Crush tonight and again Thursday, with a short intro to hangboarding for anyone interested.

Community Crush is a relaxed, instructor-led training session open to EFT (autopay) members and anyone on a two-week trial for free. For day pass, punch card, or monthly members, it’s just $5 to join.

It’s a fun, low-pressure way to train and climb with others.
